
FASET Temporary Works for Managers
BS 5975 is a standard that directs those involved within the build process to consider the inclusion of and workability of Temporary Works. Construction cannot take place without Temporary Works. Unlike other “general” Temporary Works courses that are available, this FASET course concentrates on the disciplines within FASET’s work at height arena as opposed to ground works, coffer dams etc.

Outcome
3 Education deliver the FASET Tempoarary Works for Managers. At the end of the course, candidates will:
Understand what Temporary Works is and what is required from BS B975
Identify what Temporary Works are and plan for their use
Identify those within the construction chain that need to be involved within the team and what their responsibilities are
Be able to establish responsibilities and communication channels

Competence
Candidates are assessed on their knowledge and practical understanding at the end of the course. They receive a 3 year FASET Certificate of Attendance.

Job Functions
Include; workplace controllers, site/project managers & supervisors, specialist contractor managers, health & safety professionals, planning coordinators and temporary works professionals.

Facilities
Courses can be held at our purpose built training centre in Westcott, Bucks or we can deliver the course at clients offices/site subject to suitable facilities.

Practical
It is a classroom based course with no practical work, although syndicate work should be anticipated
