FASET Net Rigging Course 

Candidates are taught how to install safety nets for the benefit of industrial roofers and flooring contractors. The one day course is relevant for both new build and refurbishment projects. 


At the end of this course, Candidates will be able to plan work with correct resources and install EN 1263/1 Safety nets in line with BS 8411 and industry good practice. 
They will discover how to check their work. 
Candidates are provided with a FASET Reference Manual, Attendance Certificate valid for 2 years and FASET Registration. 


Candidates are assessed on their knowledge and practical understanding at the end of the course. After gaining supervised practical experience on site, candidates should commence a level 2 NVQ in Safety Net Rigging. Once registered for the NVQ, they can apply for a red trainee card. When the NVQ is completed, the card can be updated to a Blue CSCS card which is valid for 5 years. This is regarded as proof of competence. 
Note: Completing the NVQ is the most widely accepted proof of competence. 

Job Functions 

Include; Flooring operatives, Roofers, Height safety contractors, Scaffolders, Steel Erectors and Frame Builders. 


Courses are normally delivered at our centre in Buckinghamshire, on site or clients premises. All require “classroom” facilities and a practical area where skills can be taught. We will advise on the suitability of “away from centre” venues.

Candidate Requirements 

Must be physically fit, comfortable at height and be practically minded. 
Must have a MEWP ticket. 


One day. 


The syllabus requires the practical instruction to be representative of the working environment. Candidates will work on training frames AND at height from a MEWP.
