“STEP” Managers Course – FASET Stair Tower & Edge Protection
This one day FASET STEP for Managers course provides knowledge for those wishing to learn how to inspect both temporary Stair Towers and Temporary Edge Protection in line with European Standards and industry good practice.
Outcome
Candidates will have a broad understanding of legislation and standards that influence the use of Stair Towers and Edge Protection systems.
They will be able to plan installations to maximise safety and productivity.
They will create and complete post install check lists.
They will be able to specify the differences in Classes A, B and C Edge Protection Systems.
They will be able to work with the Engineers design (where appropriate) and be able to verify conformity.
Candidates will be able to inspect a completed Stair Tower and understand the correct use of components in line with the manufacturers instructions.
Where appropriate, Candidates are provided with FASET Reference Notes.
Competence
Candidates are assessed on their knowledge at the end of the course. If successful, they will receive a 3 year FASET Certificate of Attendance.

Include; Workplace Controllers, Site Managers & Supervisors, Health & Safety professionals and Principal Designers.
Facilities
Courses are normally delivered at our centre in Buckinghamshire, on site or clients premises. All require “classroom” facilities suitable for adult learning.
