FASET Stair Tower Course 

This one day course provides knowledge for those wishing to learn how to erect temporary stair towers in line with British and European Standards; typically for the benefit of the industrial roofer and those needing to access the roof during construction. 

Outcome 

At the end of this course, Candidates will know how to correctly plan work with other trades under typical site conditions. 
They will be able to build a Stair Tower in line with manufacturers instructions, industry good practice and the European standards. 
They will know how to do this safely. 
They will be able to carry out a handover check. 
The Candidates are provided with Manufacturers Instructions, FASET Reference Notes, Attendance Certificate and Registration on FASET’s Training matrix. 

Competence 

Candidates are assessed on their knowledge and practical understanding at the end of the course. If successful, they can apply for an endorsement on the reverse of their existing Blue CSCS card which is valid for 5 years. If they don’t hold a Blue CSCS card, they may apply for a CSCS FASET Stair Tower card. 

Job Functions 

Include; Safety Net Riggers, Roofers, Height Safety Contractors, Scaffolders, Steel Erectors and Frame Builders. 

Facilities 

Courses are normally delivered at our centre in Buckinghamshire, on site or clients premises. All require “classroom” facilities and a practical area where skills can be taught. We will advise on the suitability of “away from centre” venues.

Maximum 4/course. 

Candidate Requirements 

Must be fit, comfortable at height and be practically minded.
