Our business is teaching and assessing – we don’t supply product or install, so we are truly independent. We recognise that candidates want to be educated. They don’t want to be told to sit and listen to a powerpoint presentation.
And who says learning to save lives has to be dry and dull? Not us…
3 Education enjoys a reputation for delivering knowledge that is specifically geared to the candidate’s needs.
We bring practical experiences to the classroom along with syndicate work and group exercises to maximise the learning process. We know that individuals learn more thoroughly when they “buy into the instructor.” This is why we only employ instructors that easily achieve the candidate “buy in.” Our instructors are PTTLS qualified.
Realistic learning to a height of 8m
We are the only centre where candidates operate in truly realistic conditions. A requirement of BS 8454 is that “training designed for trainees who subsequently are to work at height should include practical elements which are conducted at height.” Whether it is building stair towers, installing edge protection or rigging safety nets, our courses expose candidates to practical work to a height of up to 8m. Our boom-type MEWP is used for safety net rigging and edge protection courses. This means that when candidates start applying their new skills, employers benefit from a worker who has been introduced to work “as it is.” Simply standing on the floor around a scaffold frame is NOT realistic and it disrespects the candidate. Our feedback forms clearly show we achieve a high level of candidate respect which enhances the learning experience.
